If you’ve been injured in an accident, find out why it’s important for an injury lawyer to represent your interests. Check out our short video:
Hi, I’m Vladimir Zhivov from Zhivov Law Personal Injury Lawyers.
Q: What is the role of a personal injury lawyer, and how does that differ from an insurance adjuster?
A: If you’ve been in a car accident and it’s not your fault, we can help you. The insurance adjuster’s job is to get your case closed as quickly and as cheaply as possible, whereas an injury lawyer is on your side and tries to get you as much money as possible.
Q: How does the payment work?
A: Virtually all injury lawyers work on a contingency basis, which means we get paid when you get paid, and we get a percentage of what we get for you.
Q: How long can a person wait before filing their claim?
A: It’s essentially two years. What that means is you have up to two years to get a lawyer and get your case filed in court.
Q: And what is your approach at Zhivov Law?
A: We try to take a friendly approach to our practice. A client should always be able to get a hold of us, and we will deal with the client directly rather than having them go through our assistants.
